    Hi,

The plugin you’re looking for is called ‘Blink’.

  • Hi John,

Right now I’ve got regular [non-rechargeable] batteries in – at 100%.

This was happening with rechargeables, too.

    Hmmmmm?

    Hi,

Why do I XML myself? Great question.

I wish I had a more exciting answer, but the fact is, I had an errant plug-in that I needed to get rid of.
I tried using Edit Mule Filter Remover, and FCP hang on the XML import – then I got advice on how to remove the plugin manually via the XML text reader here: https://forums.creativecow.net/readpost/8/1134135

But again, it didn’t import properly [as per original post].

Subsequent to my writing I’ve gone through the project clip by clip and removed all instances of the plugin by hand, so I’m back on track – but I am a bit worried that the XML function didn’t work properly,

I haven’t had a chance to try it on another project yet.

Thanks again for the concern and input.

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    Some replies to your questions:
    Some questions:
    1) So you have the original project i.e. you are creating the XML file yourself?

    >>Yes, I did the export myself.

    2) And you have no trouble exporting the XML … just having trouble when importing it (on the same machine)?

    >>Correct

    3) And if you break the original project into 2 x 30 minute parts and export each as an XML, then BOTH parts fail on import at exactly 78%?

    >>Correct

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,

    Thanks all for the replies.

Edit Mule worked great for removing all instances of the offending plugin-in on my timeline, but only after I broke my project up into smaller pieces [it seemed to be too large and Edit Mule wasn’t able to complete its operation on the full sized project].

Thanks for the hints and tips,.

    HI,

    Thanks Steve,

It seems that this will automagically do it: https://editmule.com/pages/plugins/plugin.php?id=3

I’m currently exporting my XML to make it run.
Failing which I’ll try the DR option, which I have.
