  • I’m rendering out of acid to mp3’s, but why does this happen when I’m saving files from the web?

Also, I’ve been editing audio for years now and just recently I started experiencing the problems mentioned.

I can’t recall if it started when I built my new system. I’m running Windows 7 64 bit. And all my hardware is brand new and has plenty of power. Not sure if any of that would come into play.

I’m still working off CS4 also. I used to think the problem was with Acid 5.0 which I believe is developed for a 32 bit system. But now I feel like something more than that is going on given the fact that I’m having issues with Soundbooth, Acid and the files I’m saving from the web. Seems that something’s up with the mp3 side of things? I dunno.

I think the big thing is that the files all play back perfect in the preview pane of Windows Explorer.

  • That’s not quite what I’m looking for.

I want picture one to slide in from the side.

Then a duplicate of pic1 to slide in from the same side maybe 3 frames later, then again and again and again, but all at a random rate fluxuating between say 3 and 6 frames each.

So that you’d be “stacking” the same image on top of itself creating a bit of a strobe look I guess.

Did you have any luck with this problem? I’m having the same issue I believe. I’m trying to burn a dual layer disc though. But I’m definitely using a DL burner that I have successfully burned dual layer dvd’s with. I tried using Nero to burn the ISO and it thinks that my blank discs are not blank.

  • My camera is a Canon Vixia HF11, I just did some reading on it and don’t believe it has the downconverting capability you mentioned. I’m thinking I will have to do this through Premiere.

Swwweet. That second suggestion is what I was hoping for. The first one was how I created the clip in the link above. Thanks Rutger.

If you happen to figure this out I’m trying to do the same thing and haven’t had any luck finding help on the web thus far.

    Thanks!

OK, I just checked Sorenson squeeze and I have it in there. Just never used it. It seems it’s become much more popular these days. Is that because of Youtube?

So for once I’ve got it right. Here’s another question though…

I decided to look into rendering it as a flash video out of AE7.0 but I don’t see that option. Can AE do that? If not what’s the best way to render something as a flash video?

What settings did you use to encode (Frame size, frame rate, data rate of video and audio etc)?

    720:480
    30fps
    700 CBR data rate (video)
    50 VBR data rate Audio
    100 Keyframe Interval

Since they’re using flash, that’s apparently their preferred format. I’m sure the smartest thing to do would be to just ask them what settings they prefer.

If you have any suggestions for me, I’m open to any ideas.
