  • OK, I’m not sure why this was happening, but I tried all kinds of stuff here to get these buttons to work and in the end this is how I got around it. On each of my 2 submenus I had one button (the last one I added) that would not work. Meaning when I would preview each menu those 2 buttons were not available to navigate to. I checked, double checked, and triple checked the routing. I even went back and rebuilt each menu from scratch. What ended up working was I added an extra button that had no way for you to navigate to and that allowed the one before it to work. Not sure why this was, but that’s what worked.

I actually just ran into this same roadblock. I spent about 2 hours trying every which way and finally found success using this DVD ripper: AoA DVD Ripper (www.dvdkit.net/dvd_ripper.htm)

I got the pro version and it worked perfectly. It has lots of different settings in there for how you’d like to output your ripped file.

    Hope this helps!

  • This is perfect… almost. I guess I should have asked this in the first place. How can I ease in and out of each of these movements? I want the null to slide to the left, starting and stop in a smooth motion.

yikesmikes… I’m giving you another shot!

  • So you wouldn’t bother using the path from AI here? I figured that would be the easiest way to accomplish this? I mainly wanted to figure that part out so that I could do it or something like this more quickly in the future.

Make sense? I have to turn this project in on Sunday, so I’ll do it manually for now. I just hadn’t had much experience working with paths and hoped to add something new to the ol’ bag of tricks.

Thanks for the info Mr. Roberts!

  • Hey “Not so great” Szalam… Just wanted to say thanks. I kept messing with null layers trying to accomplish this effect and all I needed to do was parent each layer like you said. MUCH easier! Thanks a bunch brotha!

  • Well, I have to say I was pretty excited about what you suggested, cause it sounded like it made sense. But still no luck. I’m gonna do some research to see if I can find anything to help. If you happen to figure it out though, pleeeease let me know. Thanks so much. Have a good evening.

  • Thanks Willie.

The only thing that sux is that I do a HUGE amount of sampling, so going back and deleting those silent parts is a crappy extra step added to each file created. If you found a way to change this, it’d save me a huge amount of disk space! Thanks for your time.
