Open a new finder window. M100 prefs are in User> Your User Name> Library> Preferences folder. Drag to trash. Empty trash.

[Ernie Santella] “That has always been an issue with M100.”
That’s the first time I’ve heard of this issue. Try rendering using the M100 codec instead and see if you have better results.

Version 8.2.2 works fine under 10.4 and QT7.

Try running the m100 test on the board. You might also try to re-install m100.

Finally, I took the time to run some tests with lower res clips. At 10kb the footage looks fine on the laptop and I get really good performance even using the system drive.

I use SW on a Dual 1.42G4 with 2gb ram and it works fine. Maybe the ram issue is why it doesn’t work on my laptop.

I scaled down the monitor windows but, its still jerky. It says its designed for the G5 but, they market it on their website on a powerbook. They need to add the disclaimer ‘this doesn’t really work on a powerbook’.

In the Output Module under Format Options try setting a limit to your data rate. You might also try rendering as an Animation file. What does it say the data rate is in the M100 bin? What version of M100 do you have? I had this problem on my 7.0 system. I had to import at 200kb. Anything higher and I had problems. The problem may also be the bandwidth of your media drives. What are you using?

Do you have the DV Toolkit plug-in for Protools? You have to have that installed in Protools to import OMF with video.
