    Hi bS.

ProAnimator can import .obj files, as you have seen, but it doesn’t import the materials applied to the objects.

Therefore, you’ll have to create and apply materials within ProAnimator that contain the same colors and textures as the original models.

The models should have their texture vertices imported properly, so the materials/textures should match pretty well.

August 9, 2005 at 9:07 pm in reply to: How to open a Scene file??

    Hi Heimdall.

Since the scene data is embedded in your After Effects .aep file, you usually don’t have to save/load Invigorator scenes.

However, for those wishing to load a saved Invigorator scene, you may use Cmd+O (Ctrl+O on Windows) when the 3D Invigorator Startup dialog is shown (the Startup dialog has the “Create 3D Text,” “Open Illustrator File,” etc. buttons).

You’re correct in that you can save a scene while in the Invigorator Set-Up window, but you cannot currently open a scene there. This is a bug that will be fixed in the next version of the Invigorator.

Let us know if you need more assistance.

August 9, 2005 at 6:47 pm in reply to: invigorator crashes (tiger?)

    Hi Neil.

My first suggestion is to upgrade to the latest Invigorator v4.0.5 — found on https://www.zaxwerks.com
    That may solve your problem.

If that doesn’t work, would you mind sending me your project? I only need the .aep file — no media files needed.
I’d be happy to take a look.

You can send it to: matt@zaxwerks.com

    Thanks.

August 3, 2005 at 11:18 pm in reply to: 10 second animation = 2 hour render?!

    Hi FlowMotion.

No. You’re not nuts to expect faster renders.

I’d like to take a look at your scene, if you wouldn’t mind.

You can send the .aep file (no media files necessary, just the .aep):
    matt@zaxwerks.com

I’ll let you know what I find.

    Thanks.

  • Kivumbig.

Could you please tell me when you get the “Not enough memory” error? What are you doing when you get it?

    We’ll start there.

    Thanks.

July 28, 2005 at 4:14 pm in reply to: AE 6.5/ZAX CLASSIC 3.1.1 and Tiger. Invalid Key?

    Hi Paul.

We have found problems with v3.1.0 that are fixed in v3.1.1. We don’t recommend using v3.1.1 of Invigorator Classic.

I’m not sure why you’re getting the “Missing or Invalid Key” problem.

Were you successfully running v3.1.1 before upgrading to Tiger?

    Hi Dave.

Which version (v4.0.?) are you using?
Are you on the Mac or PC?

    I’ll take a look.

    Hi Mark.

We’re still working on that bug. We’ll let you know when it’s fixed.
For now, try rendering in segments if you have a long sequence.

    Hi Amber.

You’re using v3.1.1, correct? Are you on the Mac or the PC?

Can you tell me what you mean by “invoking effect plug-in 3D Invigorator?”
Do you mean that you get a crash when you apply the Invig effect to a layer?

Also, can you send me the file you’re trying to Invigorate? I’d like to take a look.

    Thanks a lot.
