I’m still having problems with memory leakage while using 3D Flag (Windows) with AE 6.5 PB. Whenever I try to render a composition with a flag that’s longer than about 15 seconds, the RAM usage gradually rises until it runs out of available memory and crashes the render and AE.

I know we talked about this a couple of months back, but has there been any resolution yet?

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark.

We’re still working on that bug. We’ll let you know when it’s fixed.
For now, try rendering in segments if you have a long sequence.

    Matt,

You seem to have the answers here. I have a similar memory problem. My machine is a 64 bit Athalon, 1GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GEForce 5200 card. My render gets about 75% complete and runs out of memory. It also takes about two hours to render a 1 minute scene.

Is it as simple as upgrading memory and/or the video card? I was thinking that I need a better video card and/or more memory, because the Athalon is kicking the butt of my 3.2GHZ HT Intel.

I suspect you can’t recommend a video card, but if you know of a place where I can do a comparison of them, it would be appreciated.

    Joe
