  • How to open a Scene file??

Posted by Heimdall on August 9, 2005 at 8:03 pm

Specs: Invigorator Pro 4 After Effects

    Mac OSX.3 Dual 2.5 GIG

When I make a new comp, add a new Solid and access Invigorator via the Effects menu, I get a pop up screen that lets me:

    1) Create 3D Text
    2) Open AI file
    3) Create 3D Primitive
    4) Create a NEW Scene

BUT I don’t have “Open Existing Scene” as the Manual states I should.

How Can I open my scene files (import does not work).

What a crappy situation. A lot of work down the drain, as I did not save it with the AE file.

Which brings up another ranting question, why are you able to save a scene file, but not able to open it??

    Hi Heimdall.

Since the scene data is embedded in your After Effects .aep file, you usually don’t have to save/load Invigorator scenes.

However, for those wishing to load a saved Invigorator scene, you may use Cmd+O (Ctrl+O on Windows) when the 3D Invigorator Startup dialog is shown (the Startup dialog has the “Create 3D Text,” “Open Illustrator File,” etc. buttons).

You’re correct in that you can save a scene while in the Invigorator Set-Up window, but you cannot currently open a scene there. This is a bug that will be fixed in the next version of the Invigorator.

Let us know if you need more assistance.
