They are Spanned R3D’s but Resolve has access to all of the clips.

What is weird is that the same clip would be referenced 2 edits before hand and the conform is spot on. After digging through the XML i find that the second reference of the clip, one that won’t conform correctly has no timecode string in the xml. I believe it should find this for every clip correct?

Is that the 2011 Macbook Pro17″ with an ATI card?

Blackmagic has acknowledged there is a issue with OpenCL rendering in R9 on Lion 10.7.4. I see the same issue. the only fix right now is to set your render speed to 1%.

Hopefully they will fix this soon, as it ruins my on set Dailies workflow.

Thanks For the quick reply. I traced down the user error.

Also how do you get an ALE out of Davinci? Export Timeline in Conform?

I am having the same problem with 10.7.4 and Open CL on a MacBook Pro 2011 with Radeon 6770M. Setting speed to 50% is a quick fix, but would love to be able to render faster than than for dailies.

    Cheers

I had been working in 8.2.1 B3 fine for weeks. Reinstalled with 8.2.1 Release.

Hey i am looking to do the same thing. I edited in CS6 using native R3D’s and want to get to resolve. The only problem is that MultiCam in CS6 is nest sequences. I got everything to SpeedGrade but can get an XML out of it. Any thoughts.

    SpeedGrade is clunky, imo.

  • This is just a hunch, but it sounds to me like heat issues on the Rocket. Rocket’s are finicky, if they get to hot, they send out garbage frames. You can usually see this in the RedCine-X Pro console.

I have had mine in my Mac Pro rendering and throwing garbage frames. I increased the PCI fan speed using SMCfanController, and tada, no more bad frames. I have seen this occur on many rockets.

Juan is probably on the right idea of throwing it in the tower rather than the cubic.

BTW the software debayer is of higher quality then the rocket debayer. Most RED Films end up using the software debayer in finishing.

Testing has shown that even with Maximum Bit Depth enabled, Premiere will clip any information above 100 ire.

    Figured it out.

There is a setting in the view menu called Show Full View Area. You must have that unselected fot proper output.
