I’m a goofball. After burning a half dozen DVD’s or so I realized that for some reason Sony Vegas (or perhaps I) had normalized some clips at the wrong level. It was over driving them by 7 or 8 dB. Once I removed the normalization it burnt and plays perfectly off the DVD.
I’m curious though, not sure what DVDA is. I did a quick google, it’s an audio codec. I couldn’t find it in the codec drop down for vegas renders. Here’s what I’m currently using and it seems to work nicely…
Video (Mpeg2) Template (DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen)
Audio (Dolby Digital AC-3 Studio) Template (Stereo DVD)
Curious what the DVDA stuff is.
