Press cmd 0 (apple key + the zero key) to bring up the sequence settings for the sequence you want to have four seperate channels of audio. Then Click on the audio tab. From the pulldown menue select 4 outputs and click the dual mono selection on both pairs. This should give you four seperate channels for export or laying to tape.

I Do my chroma keying in AE with Keylight, and I find it to be much more functional. Also since i’m already in AE I go ahead and do my composite for the chroma key in there as well. Saves me a lot of time on the render end of it.

Once you save the file, you can grab the little motion file icon on the top of the project hold command (apple key) and tab over to FCP and Drop the file where you need it.

Directly above the canvas window right just to the left of the “view” pulldown menu, there is another pulldown menu and you need to select transparent there. this is just fo viewing however. If you want a transparent back for a render, you must render in animation codec with the advanced settings set to millions+. This will retain your alpha information.

Forgot to mention the media drive is formatted as mac os extended (no journaling enabled). And on the Update of the OS and FCP, I wiped everything clean.

If they are still images you might try aranging them into the end position that you want to achieve. Then use the repell behavior and an invisible object to have them repell away from. Render that out, then pop it back into motion and use the scrub effect to reverse the animation.

I spent more time trying to set the program up (which I never got to work) than it would have ever saved me on encoding.

[Chris Poisson] “I don’t think a half second total of fade would make a selling difference in any spot I’ve ever seen”

Honestly I don’t think most revisions clients insist on us making “make a selling difference” in the spots.
