Sending it to a Smoke station for online.
The things is not that The Smoke can’t read it, it’s that FCP can’t write the right in/out for the clips te conform on Smoke. When digitizing, there will be some frames missing.

January 28, 2008 at 1:24 am in reply to: Dual HD-SDI in to a Kona 3, from two XDCAM EX1’s, for on set capture/playback/editI was talking about Dual Stream HD and not dual link. DUal Stream is the possibility to record 1080i 4:2:2 to the HDCAM SR recorder SRW1. It it used to record stereoscopic images for 3D but it can be used tu record two completly different camera.
I’ll start another thread for that…

I used those Neutrik transfo to convert the output of a HDCAM SR deck:

For myself, I will work with a tiff sequence. I won’t need the DPXtoQT. I will probably use SilverStack.
Thanks for your time

Gary said:
you have to adjust the output of the 1080 23.98 so that it is outputting at 29.97 then do the down convert. to NTSCMat says:
The Kona will do the pulldown on output and the downconvert to NTSC? Will I then be able to EDIT TO TAPE?Mathieu Marano

On what system are you editing? Is your HDV 50,94 or 23,98?

I will also put the AES in the patch because I will go thru an ADA4 and a D10AD to output to and capture from BetaSP.
Oh, and my SRW5500 is my second machine room. I have to run 70 feet of cable from the Kona to the SRW5500. Should I put a DA in the middle of the line?

We are going with a 24in LCD CineTal or a TVLogic. Both are LCD.
