Spot,
I found the sfk files on the C drive in my user folder: AppData\Local\Temp
If they are being saved anywhere else I can’t find them. Aren’t they supposed to be saved in the same folder as the .veg file?
I deleted them from the Temp folder, and resaved, but the same thing happened again.
I can’t find anywhere to designate where to save them.

Could it have something to do with have both 32 and 64 bit versions of Vegas 9 on the machine? (I’ve only been using the 32 bit, so I guess I’ll try uninstalling 64 bit and then removing/reinstalling 32 bit if that doesn’t work.)

I will try converting the final output with total video converter.

I thought of trying to put the entire first set of words on a single layer, but I don’t know how to position them properly without an enormous amount of manual work, and I also couldn’t put them on top of each other if they were on the same layer, right? I did all the entry and positioning in Photoshop with each word on a separate layer and then imported the file into AE and converted to editable AE text.

Thank you for your response and I would appreciate any further thoughts you might have.

If you want the subtitle text to permanently appear on top of the video, you should create the first subtitle with a text media and place it on the layer above your video. Position it and give it the color, size, etc. you want the subtitles to have. Then you can just copy and paste that text media to create the additional subtitles.

I don’t know of a way in Vegas to create subtitles that appear on top of the video which can be turned on and off, but you can do that in DVD architect for DVDs only.

right click in the track header and choose panning envelope. This gives you a blue line over the length of the track that you can click to create handles and create changes in the panning over time. Look it up in the help files for more specific directions.

every audio track has a panning control under the volume control in the track header. You can pan the entire track or right click and make a panning envelope to gradually change the panning over time.

Sounds like something that would be pretty easy to make in Flash CS4. Just make the thumbnails buttons that cause a large version of the image to appear and the voiceover to play.

I appreciate your answer and your question. I didn’t think 32 bit Vegas would run in 64 bit Windows, but you are saying it will. That’s great and so I will install both on the 64 bit OS. I have some plugins from NEAT video, that don’t support 64 bit. I installed 64 bit Vegas and tried to install the Neat plugins, but they simply don’t show up in the filters list. Do you believe they will show up in 32 bit Vegas even if it’s installed in 64 bit Windows?

Another reason I was thinking of installing 32 bit Windows 7 is because I also play video games and some of my favorite games don’t work at all in 64 bit, especially games downloaded from Steam.
