vegas repeatedly rebuilding audio waveforms
I opened an old project and Vegas 9.0c is rebuilding the audio peak files every time I reopen the project, even though I saved as a 9.0c project. Also, when I copy HDV (mt2) video clips from one project to another open project, the new project rebuilds the audio waveform again. Any ideas on why this happening and how I can make it stop?

Delete the .sfk files, see if it builds again (it should) but then it’s associated with their location, so it should keep those associations for future openings.

I found the sfk files on the C drive in my user folder: AppData\Local\Temp
If they are being saved anywhere else I can’t find them. Aren’t they supposed to be saved in the same folder as the .veg file?
I deleted them from the Temp folder, and resaved, but the same thing happened again.
I can’t find anywhere to designate where to save them.Could it have something to do with have both 32 and 64 bit versions of Vegas 9 on the machine? (I’ve only been using the 32 bit, so I guess I’ll try uninstalling 64 bit and then removing/reinstalling 32 bit if that doesn’t work.)

in case anyone else has this problem, my solution was to remove all versions of Vegas and reinstall 32bit Vegas 9.0c.
