you could just use a wipe as a transition at the beginning of your flight path image. You might have to adjust the angle to make it look right.

November 15, 2011 at 9:02 pm in reply to: Sony Vegas Pro 11 Render Issue

    Jordan,
I was reading another thread about NewBlue Titler and decided that might be causing the problem. Uninstalling NewBlue didn’t change anything, but when I completely uninstalled and reinstalled Vegas 11 after that, my rendering problems went away. Worth a try!
    Cheers,
    Mary

I was just going to post the exact same issue, but I haven’t tried uncompressed .avi – this exact same thing happens when I try to render mp4 files under the Sony or Main Concept templates. This is making it very hard to use Vegas 11 at all.

Yes, I am using the updated version.

I also get a crash every time I put New Blue Titler on the timeline (this works in Vegas 10).

    Thanks for any answers.

I might be willing to try building one, but haven’t been able to find a good online discussion about the details. Do you know of any? What type of case did you get for the drives?

    Thanks!

August 17, 2011 at 7:34 pm in reply to: create URL link to specific spot in the video?

Apparently, it is possible to set up links to certain time stamps in embedded YouTube videos on a page, but my project is for a university website which has it’s own Flash streaming server, so I was hoping to avoid YouTube. Link to the YouTube info:
    https://www.mattcutts.com/blog/start-youtube-video-minutes-seconds/

So I guess the question is how to do this with non-YouTube FLV streaming or progressive download videos, or with some other format.

Thanks John, as usual, your advice did the trick. I copied the files from the camera card to the PC, and Cineform NeoScene converted them nicely.

November 12, 2010 at 2:25 am in reply to: serious Vegas 10 keyframe issue

Yes, Windows 7. I managed to get the project finished in Vegas 10 because I realized the preview bug only happens when scrubbing in the keyframing timeline, so it was a little more work but I could go back and forth between the main time line and keyframe timeline and it all worked out.

The basic problem is still there however. I also had another weird problem in 10 where every time I open the project once clip is mysteriously replaced by another. I’m hoping for a 10 update soon.

    thanks again.

November 11, 2010 at 4:26 pm in reply to: serious Vegas 10 keyframe issue

If I want to use Vegas 9 instead of 10, I’ll have to start over from scratch. The only media that copies from 10 to 9 projects is generated media and still images. The only keyframes that copy are track motion keyframes, which, I note, have the Vegas 9 look and feel. Track and event plug in keyframes don’t copy over, and neither do the video files I was working with. Thanks for your thoughts – I’m hoping to get some help from this on Sony.

Vegas 10 has been a huge disappointment so far.

    Thanks.
