Why not just send the clip you want to mask to Motion and do it there?
But if you really want to do it the hard way, you could use a shape instead of a mask, then import your Motion project, place it over your clip in FCP, and use a Travel Matte Alpha blend mode.

Oops, missed that. sorry. You certainly should be able to select a subset of keyframes and move them all, even without using the box tool – it seems Motion is acting up on you and I’d suggest trashing prefs.

I actually prefer to move keyframes in the Timeline (as opposed to the Keyframe Editor) because there is no risk of accidentally changing values. You just need to click the tiny show/hide keyframes button at the bottom left of the tab to reveal them.

Any filters, generators, or transitions you add in FCP will not make the trip when sending clips or sequences to Motion (with the sole exception of the Smoothcam filter in FCP, which gets translated into Motion’s Stabilize behavior). All your Motion tab properties (scale, rotation, etc., keyframes, dropshadow, crop, retiming) DO make the trip.
You’ll need to “bake” your CC 3-way filter into your clips before sending to Motion. One way to do this is to first send your clips to Color and render there – makes it quite a bit easier as you don’t need to replace each clip one after the other, you can send back to FCP from Color.

You can only cut between cameras – or export movies of each camera and then fade between the movies.
