You can do this all directly in Motion without plugins just by animating either the text layers or a camera.

Sure, Command-` (The “grave” key) will toggle amongst all your open windows, including all open projects.

Yes I would just export from FCP the bits you need.

You can always slip your media in Motion to the appropriate point by option-dragging on it in the mini-Timeline (it needs to be trimmed first just like in FCP).

No – dropzones in Motion won’t work as dropzones in DVDSP – but they don’t need to. Just add the content you want to your dropzones in Motion, and bring the Motion project itself into DVDSP and apply it as a menu. If you want to change the content, just choose Open In Editor by right-clicking the Motion project in the Assets tab to launch Motion and swap out the content.

If you only see Millions and not Millions+, then you don’t have an alpha channel. I thought you were embedding the Motion project directly in FCP, not exporting. You need to change your export settings to include the alpha OR just embed you Motion project directly in the FCP timeline and avoid all these issues.

No. You should not need to change the composite mode. In Motion, make sure your background is set to transparent (Edit > Project Properties).

Did you try to change it as I suggested?

That’s the problem. Right-click the word “none” and choose either Premultiplied or Straight (see which is better)
