  • No, you can’t trim your clips to just the used portion.

  • Adding a Loop end marker would force the duration to be fixed when trimming in FCP X.

I don’t know of any way to that other than dragging it left – or making a clone and offsetting the clone.

That’s not the Point At behavior. That’s the Link parameter behavior. I’m suggesting you use the Point At behavior (in the Basic Motion category) instead of the Link behavior.

I can’t tell what’s wrong without seeing your project but if you set the Transition value to 0 and the Source to the Camera with the Z-axis selected, the text will face the camera. Is the text in a 3D group? Tough to trouble shoot but absolutely should work.

Yes you need to choose an axis but if you choose the default, z, and set the Transition value to 0, the text will always point at the camera – it’s z-axis will point at the camera.

It certainly works for me. Did you add the camera to the source well? Change the transition time?

You can use the Point At behavior to have the text always face the camera. Set the transition to zero.

Use the pen or bezier tool to draw a wavy line and animate it with the Wriggle Shape behavior (in the Shape category of behaviors in the Library).
