My experience has been that Canon Plug ins lag behind the Mac OS by sometimes a large margin. I’m on Yosemite and working with C 300 footage all the time and its seamless even though there is no Yosemite plug in. I would Simply download their latest plug in and press ahead.

There are plenty of 4 K cameras actually, the real question is whether you are prepared for the data load…

I have a similar issue as the OP. I have some 59.94 footage that I would like to play as 23.98, in other words slo – mo. Is there a way to conform the 59.94 clips to play all frames at 23.98 to get the slo mo effect?

A bit of an up date- I still haven’t solved this problem detailed above that I need to solve. Following my previous post I tried:

Renaming the sound files that won’t import thinking that I could fool Final cut into thinking they were different files than I originally imported and that failed.

I opened FCPX on a different machine in a test project I have set up and could import the files in question . I just can’t re-import the files into the project where I need them…

When I try to import the files into the project where they are needed, the files show up in the import window list but when I click on a particular wave file, the audio waveform does not appear in the section window.

    I’m still stumped.

Copy original clip then, select other clips in the time line index, then paste attributes, tick off the audio check box . Done?

Maybe this is a hold over from FCP7, but back in the FCP 7 days I used to make all my stills into .png’s. This was trick I learned while doing a music project with lots of large archival stills, which once they were png’s did not gum up the FCP 7 works nearly as much as the original files I was given to work with. The graphic converter app was essential for batch inverting folders full of stills for use in FCP.

Why did I think that backing up media was an option? Has it been an option in the past?
