With X on Maverics I needed a plugin to import C300. But canon website says with Yosemite none is needed. However I can’t import. It’s not recognized as anything to import. The structure is there. Just shows as files and folders in import window and the clips aren’t recognized as video either on drag/drop in finder. Do I just tell canon I have Mavericks and download the plug?

My experience has been that Canon Plug ins lag behind the Mac OS by sometimes a large margin. I’m on Yosemite and working with C 300 footage all the time and its seamless even though there is no Yosemite plug in. I would Simply download their latest plug in and press ahead.

Yeah I didn’t want to install anything I didn’t need, but you’re right. It wasn’t that you don’t need the plug with yosemite, it’s just that they haven’t made it yet. The mavericks one works just fine.
