What is the video compressor that you are using? Animation, ProRes422, etc.?

You could possibly use Cinema Tools for this or use you could use Compressor (but you might run into some sync problems). I’d look over the documentation for Cinema Tools and see what it says on this subject.

Let me add… XDCAM is much easier to work with than P2. All you need is the Sony Transfer software version 1.1 and you’re ready to go!

The filter set will cost you about $100 but very well worth it.

Ok…. You could just use a program like Sound Grinder. It will do exactly what you want.

Use iTunes. It will convert mp3s to aiff, if you have your preferences set to export aiff files.

Finally!
Someone understand what I am talking about. Motion does have lots of fine effects and emitters. But some of the pre-canned effects in Livetype were pretty cool and very easy to use.

The best sound effects out there that most of the studios use come from Hollywood Edge, that is if they don’t use a foley stage.
Awesome sound effects, but pricey!

Do you have access to a Mac with an AJA Kona 3 installed?
If so, just edit DV 16:9 and uprez it on output. It still won’t have full HD quality but there are many people who do this all of the time. There are lots of small low budget features done like this.

I was afraid that the Intel-based software bug was going to bite me. Bummer!
Just put in a tech request with Epson. Let’s see if I get anywhere.
Thanks, Richard. By the way, I always enjoy your sessions at NAB every year.
