Jim,
I’m sorry you have had issues. Liquid began shipping through Avid on November 21st, a day earlier than expected. Whilst it always takes a while for the product to get to everyone, you should have received your copy by now.
Many users on the Avid forums have received their copies and are commenting on it as we speak. Some have had issues….that happens with a .0 release.
Because I am not directly responsible for shipping their product, and because I do not work for Avid, I do not feel that their shipping policies reflect on my character and do not in any way tarnish my reputation. If you feel this way, then I am sorry.
I reviewed Liquid 7 based on the product that I had at hand. Obviously the review was not written on the day of the release….I was using the last beta release, the same version that was burned to disk for the general population.Contact Avid and they should be able to get your product to you.

it is the limitation of an 8 bit environment…..

use vector paint….set up “shift paint records” to realtime….trace your font, at the speed you are comfortable, then change vector paint to animate strokes and change playback speed. I like to set vector paint to paint on transparent, then I use the original font layer as a track matte to the vector paint layer.

Majnoo,
Welcome to the forums. It sounds like fx is workig correctly, but that the issue is more how to apply the effect in Vegas. I would ask at the vegas forum, they would surely have more expertise in that area.
Any more problems in fx, make sure to come back here.
Sorry I couldn’t help more, but I really know nothing about Vegas.

You could also try making the water bead in photoshop, then using the displacment filter and using the luminance values of the water to create the displacment. You will then want to re-composite the water over the affected imges using one of the composite modes, ie overlay.

Also,
If you check on the face of the track (Twirl down the track to get to it) make sure the media is set to match your media type (Not set to square)…Also, does this happen whilst in Res only, or are you seeing this with final renders ??? If only in Red, then in the preview pulldown menu, make sure that you are not set to preview with Square pixels…That is all I can think of at present.
