Since I am not very good at expressions, I will tell you how I do this.
Leave the point of interest pointed at the object. Now create two keyframes, a begginning and ending for the poistion of the camera. Next, change to top view, control click the keyframes in the comp window….this will change them to auto bezier keyframes, now adjust the bezier handles to create the arc that you desire. The camera will keep looking at your object, so naturally as it moves, the head of the camera will move to look at your object.
Hope this helps

August 31, 2006 at 3:09 pm in reply to: Realtime preview of Composition Window when dragging Current Time IndicatorIt is in the preferences. It is under the preview tab….It is the adaptice resolution that you want to activate. In version 7, you can access these settings fro the comp window…look for the little box near the lower right corner that looks like a lightning bolt.

I introduce 3:2 when using the magic bullet. It is in the render settings. you have to render out fields, then you can select to add 3:2 to your footgae. I’m not sure which you should add….for magic bullet it is the last one in the list.

Well,
We actually use a pen that writes on a monitor….that pen’s actions is dropped onto the footage (I work for a sports network). To acheive this type of effect in AE is really quite simple….Vector paint. Record your strokes and set to animate, or display all strokes and use masks…You could also pre create these in illustrator or photoshop and use masks to reveal the strokes.

In your render queue, in the export moduel, you can set a time frame from which to render…..maybe your template is not set to workspace, but rather to a specific time.

Try playing around with the sharpen filter…..If you overdo it with this filter things can really start to look, well DVish 🙂

Learn keyboard shortcuts and use a Wacom. Also, make sure that you desk and chair are at the right height (google search and you should be able to find some answers for proper posture).
I would also suggest taking breaks at regular intervals and to do some stretching of the hands, arms, wrists and shoulders before and after a session.
I was suffering from shoulder and neck problems until I made the swtich from mouse to pen, and before I changed my posture.
Exercise can also help alieve some of the symptoms. Wrist curls can strengthen your wrists and forearms.
Good luck.

For this, I would use the leave color filter. Basically, you select the color that you want to keep, then adjust the filter to desaturate the rest of the image. You will sometimes get some color bleeding if there are surrounding elements with very similiar color.

I use the wiggler for this one. I put a black solid layer on the top of all layers, then add two opacity keyframes, one at the beginning, one at the end…both are set to around 30% opacity. I then apply the wiggler. I usually set the amount to around 20 and the frequency to 24. You can also play around with transfer modes, such as multiply. I find also repeating the above but with a slight blur can help acheive the look.
