Some big flash stuff can really bring down your machines.
I remember many years ago when i did some web stuff on flash there i saw it.
If the computer was not top of the line gun then complex animations could really bog it down
almost to 0 % of performance. There is really good point why Steve was angry at Adobe when they
banned flash on ipad. There is really good reason i think. Think if you leave some web page open with
many many flash parts inside. So seemingly harmless web will kill your performance for sure up
to some point.—

Yes you win some in speed but as i see it loose in workflow and support.
By support i mean how different stuff is supported like red camera etc.I switched to mac as workflows seemed better, faster, simpler to use and good pc did cost as mac pro
or more and software did cost many times more.So the gain is not only in one area or cuda numbers.
One has to look workflow as well.I used mu pc’s many years but now osx feels so eazy to use that it would be insane to go back.
But people can do what they like and with what they like.
My point was that win is other beast compared to osx and linux on what Resolve runs.
Osx is linux inside.Only way to run it rock solid on win would be to use it on really high end dell or hp
but then we would hear a lot of complaining again about the cost etc.So yes linux version would make more sense on high end pc based machine.

I have 4000 in slot 1 and it is perfect.
It did not show up in slot 2.
Did you get it runing like 4000 in 1 and ati in 2 ?
My initial plan was to put 4000 to 1 and 2 and 120 to 3 😉

Ok but still. To get really good windows machine you get hp or dell and for me they seem in the same price range with mac pro.

Nope.
Why should there be ?
Win is a lot of different inside compared to osx and linux.
What will you gain from windows? Premiere runs on mac also.

There is or at least was MJPG on win that gave pretty similar compression quality
effect back in the day.I feel that on mac all things are better supported.
PC market seems so limited compared to apple and maybe some high end linux.—

Seems good idea to have one stream low rez material SD or so.
Also uncompressed SD may be god idea as machine cpu does not matter.
When i think of it then system drive again is not good option as people have different stuff
there and speeds and fulness of a drive is different not to mention drive model speed itself.So generally good idea but there is some questions to be solved if just separate drive must be used.

I have used premiere for years and i have tested some new ones.
I do not like it still 🙂Usually “pro” people wait 6 months or more to see how new systems evolve and then
change workflow.I think it is big screaming for nothing. Now we see who thinks like pro and who just wants to scream.
