if reels do not have to be in the same timeline then you also have no worry’s.
Every timeline has its own timecode.

not only hdmi. if the card works then it does not matter what connections you use.—

as far as i get it you can make “selection” and apply nr to it.
so if you make node, apply qualifyer and apply nr.
there you go you have nr on really narrow spot.

for me it seems like bad configuration if something is dropping.
regular network with cat cabling will newer drop in my studio in normal conditions.
so if this is not from the panel as error then network is really simple to configure
but it needs user to get the basic networking concept. usb is dumb in that sense,
computer sees or does not see the device and thats all.lan based systems are great for using your computer in the cabin an not under your table.
we are lucky that we have options and everybody can choose the panel they like.

esata does not mean a lot of speed.
try with 4x internal drives in raid 0.
you should use also at least 1 tb drives x4 in mac
