Hi.
Just “few seconds” ago there has been a thread of that and if you make a search you will probably have multiple times the same question 😉

All is true as i sayed between the lines you need phantom power which mixer should give and you need sync (sync is more optional i think) and black (eny video) in and you can do it with premiere or finalcut only. But still it is doable if you do not want to have separate audio card.

Probably not. What i have done is start Log and capture in Premiere or finalcut.
Disable video input in your settings (you still need reference video in and / or black video in). Press capture now and record your audio. And yes you need pre amp probably to your mic.
Generally it is possible but not so straight forward.

My BM Multibridge Pro has hdmi out and sdi out.
This is why i wondel which way to go.hdmi board is about 300 bucks and sdi is 1800 or someting like that.
Sync is no problem with multibridge i think.

Hi.
Actually i have not see eny of them 🙂
I just have read that they supposed to have 2x upscale
I assumed that they do it nice. My best upscale experience is with
Combustion resize function so i assumed somebody has done it in hardware also.I have seen SD on 2407 in normal mode with my multibridge pro
and i’d say in pixel for pixel mode it is far better than eny
regular LCD tv which scales and blurs and does what eve with your image. But relatively small picture. One reason why i do not have LCD tv at home SD is bad on it si i get your point.—

You should have SDI out in pref as you insert SDI to your monitor.
If you do not get SDI from your computer just connect computer output to analogue connectorsof your monitor. I assume that pref should say SDI otherwise no luck from eny position. SDI is digital.
I assume that you had analogue going to deck and sdi from there.
Now you have no deck to “convert” so you have to connect analogue.—

They should do the 2x upscale but i have not seen one as i do not have eny units here.
I assume it should be ok.

Hi.
As i underestand you have captured to HDV which is a lot different from 8 or 10 bit uncompressed format.
I’d recapture again with uncompressed if your PC can handle the load on IO.
If it would be possible to capture on pc with BM then i’d go with MJPG.
Load to IO is not so big and quality is really good.—
