    Hi all,
I´ve been capturing some HDV (50i and 25p) footage ftom my Canon HV30 with Final Cut using Apple Intermediate HDV Codec.
Now i want to work on that footage using my PC and i´ve downloaded the blackmagic codecs and i have 3 options when i´m exporting:

    1- Blackmagic 10 Bit
    2- Blackmagic 8 Bit (2Vuy)
    3- Blackmagic RGB 10 Bit

I guess that choosing between option 1 and option 2 will depend on the bits from the original footage, but i dont really know how to know if my original footage is in 8 or 10 bits. Anyone knows ?

In case that i have to go in 10 bits, whats the difference between option 1 and 3 ?

Hope someone can help me on thisone.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi.

As i underestand you have captured to HDV which is a lot different from 8 or 10 bit uncompressed format.

I’d recapture again with uncompressed if your PC can handle the load on IO.

If it would be possible to capture on pc with BM then i’d go with MJPG.
Load to IO is not so big and quality is really good.
