    Hi.

I bet the code is not optimized to go on 8 cores or more.

We probably have to wait for FCP update or new release.

    Hi.

As i see it it is in hardware to capture 24 bit.
For me it is like capturing analogue video trough firewire a bit. You just ingest bit lower quality material to higher container. I can not tell if it will make any difference at all. What i would do …. i would capture audio trough SDI if possible. No conversion wondering there. Recorder gives out SDI and your card inputs standardized SDI signal and all should be well and if eny bit issues it is handled on hardware level as a standard … i’m not so sure if AES does not convert or fine tune something with signal. It should not but god knows or some hardcore tech fellows 🙂

I have always used SDI with digibetas and no problems there.

    Hi.

Open tiff’s in Quiqtime Pro as one video file. Save it as mov. Use compressor to export is in a format you like and in export settings say that you have gamma 2.2. This is not a fine tuned work flow description but generally it should do it.

    Play around with compressor.

November 11, 2008 at 10:29 am in reply to: Editing with red

    Hi Bob,

I will do some more testing and refining.

Today i have other project at hand and i’m going to color correct with DPX. Lets see what that goes to.

Still not to long render times 🙂

I figured if time line some times auto renders itself on idle time
picture gets really clean and no softness eny more.

I let auto render final edit as for offline it is huge timesaver not to render.

Lets see what Moo people say about writing a line or two.

    I used Premere or Finalcut.
Sony is so much standardised for VCR so i see no problem there.

    Hi.

    Something like cineSpace should help.

I do not remember if they supported AE derectly.

Check out here if you find eny word about AE.

In tehory you should be good with Dell 3008 or Apple 30″
if all works out with cineSpace.

This is something i’m trying to get hands on with color and shake.
