Hey Mark
Thanks for responding. Are you happy with the DoStudio? Is it working well with your Sonic Encodes? Even though you’ve abandon DR, have you used the DR AVC files with DoStudio?

Hello Mark
We’ve been encoding as MPEG 2 on DR & using Encore CS3. This has worked for us.
Have you been successful using Digital Rapids Stream Z HD & the DR AVC codec?
Thanks

Recently I’ve been having the same problem with Prores as well.
All the footage from my clients have been 1080 29.97 or 23.98 Prores HQ and “dropped frames” reported when mastering out to tape.
So far the best option has been “trash pref” and shut down.
Once I start up, immediately open the FCP Prores project and don’t adjust the factory setting too much.
Then the output works.
Even though I was able output 1080 29.97 Uncompress with out much problems, the Prores some how doesn’t play friendly.
This isn’t a fix but a work around. I find this issue very unusual and would love a technical answer.
Do I need faster storage? Or a Eight-Core? Or does the problem rest in QT? Any responses would be appreciated.

Recompress was turned off.
The above problem hashappen recently with two client from two different systems.
I’m trying to see if it’s random FCP voodoo or a bug.
Thanks for your input.Marcus

One client was working in 720p 23.98 and the other client 1080 29.97.
Separate clients on separate systems producing this QT issue when bring the footage back into FCP.
They both exported small clips and no issues, but when it came to exporting a larger sequence then this issue occurred.
The export QT wont drop back in without renderingThe clients are not performing any frame rate conversion in FCP.
All the QT properties appear correct and the sequence setting do match the exported QT.
But something is telling it to render.Any other ideas???
