I’ll check out the 37″. My room isn’t that big, maybe 15′ x 9′, so the 37″ on a wall might do the trick. What about SD on that monitor? Is it acceptable?

Would love to, but used gear and grant funding don’t mix.

I was under the impression that I used the IO la for input. Then used the Kona 2 for editing and output.
And of course I’m referring to beta video, which will be an issue here for a long time.

Can I do my editing with the Kona 2, then do out to tape with the IO la? If so, then I’m golden.

Don’t I need that for video out to my beta deck? With audio running through a D/A converter?

Setting a render preset is a good idea. I should have done that a long time ago. Thanks for the advice.

Project and sequence are both 8-bit. I’ll keep checking to see if something is off. Maybe the fields out of AE.

That’s the setup that I’ll be using with my 1082. I talked to AJA, and they suggested possibly getting a FW switch to simply switch the cable over to the control surface when not doing any input/output with the IO…since you’ll most likely be editing with the Kona 2. This ends any conflict between the IO and your Tascam.

those two devices aren’t working at the same time, like an IO is working while using an AJA IO setting to edit in FCP. Your FW deck isn’t alive while editing…the two FW streams aren’t competing. At least I think that’s your answer.

Well, that’s a buzz kill. Guess I haven’t used it long enough to reach any of those quibble milestones.

One thing I do notice already though. I use it directly on my desk, no pad…and it moves smoother than any other optical mouse I’ve had.

I’ve had my Dual 2.7 with 8GB memory for about a month now…and I’m very happy…no buyers remorse here.
