I checked my settings, and I found where it’s certainly lower field first with my sequence settings, but I’ve been unable to find where I can make a definitive location on where it lists lower field first for capture settings. I’m using the easy setup for 8-bit uncompressed on both sequence and capture through the IOLa. I’ll take another stab at this, and try to get this right, before I bother you on the phone Walter.

Oh Tim, suck it up …. 🙂

Just kidding. I’m glad ya’ll took the plunge before we did, I’m learning alot from your issues. I need to come over one day after I get my suite hooked up (if ever) so I can get a list of issues that I’m going to run into coming from Media 100.

Yeah, I agree. With a background in news videography…I just have to laugh when I hear about any kind of weight issues with these new cameras. What I wouldn’t give to be back at one of those hostage stand-offs that we would be on for like 36 hours, with a camera like the DVX100. I might not have the back and knee problems I have now.

you know, I don’t know where I got that idea either…I think I was looking at a picture of an IO, not the K2. But, you did answer my question…thanks.

There’s no difference between the two versions, except the ability to upgrade to newer versions. I asked that question at NAB, and this is what I was told. I do know that Adobe products are different between the regular verison and educational version though, just a heads up.

I know I can get educational discount with apple…not a problem. I’m just wanting to exhaust all research at all other options. I look to get a fast RAID set-up because we look to add HD within the next couple years.

I’d like to see some sports related themes. We could use it for coach’s show features.

June 3, 2005 at 2:23 am in reply to: MORE CRT MONITOR QUESTIONS

Let me know this. If you get the PVM, and add the HD-SDI card, won’t SD-SDI still work with this, as well as HD.

If I monitor out of a Kona 2 from the SDI, hook it up to a PVM’s HD-SDI card, won’t the monitor automatically detect SD or HD?

I too am trying to decide between the PVM20 or BVM14.

Sounds great. I hope to ordering my K2 with IO combo soon. I’m glad to hear that mastering out to analog sources through K2 and IO works well, I was worried about that. It’s great to hear that what I want to do is working for somebody else.
