    @ Chris Brearley + 1,

I know this is an old post, but I stumbled upon and I wanted to add my 2 c.

In don’t understand that attitude, either you (Dave) help or you don’t. If you do so, why being rude? You’re not forced to help if you don’t want.

Now, about the OP question there’s another workaround. Import your sequence, clips, audio or whatever in AE (or Premiere), save your project and then open it from within Media Encoder (File, Add After Effects Composition). You’ll be prompted to choose what comp you want to render and then you’re done.

So, you don’t see any hope.
After all, it’s just a matter of market.

Yes, purge all works fine as well.
But of course this way would make working with AE completely impossible, since every frame I should purge all to fix the preview making it to look right.
So far seems that the secret tip works fine.
By the way, the same thing is happening on the computer of a friend of mine, after having installed AE CS3. It seems that the two releases cannot live together at the same time on the same machine.
Or, maybe, the CS3 version modifies something about the way AE handle the preview.

Nope, the camera duration is the same as all the layers.
Now it works, with the layer cache disabled seems to work.
But I’m wondering why this issue …

    Now, this is weird!
It seems I’ve fixed it, just curious if someone could explain me this strange issue.
Under the secret menu I’ve checked Disable Layer Cache, and it worked!
Could, in some manner, the installation of AE CS3 beta on the same machine, be the cause of the problem?

At least, I can work again now.

Never mind, I’ve got it 🙂

  • Yes, I forget to mention the flying around objects case … that’s true, another good example where using nulls is the right choice.
    Thanks for the feedback Nicholastoth.
