Thanks John but I’ve already found the problem. When I tried to do the rendering of the movie, I just clicked on the Windows Media Video option. Of course the “Render” option was disabled, because I forgot to click the little black triangle that opens the 8 rendering options corresponding to the Windows Media Video V11 (*. Wmv).
Such a simple thing that I stupidly did not realize. Now is everything ok! Anyway, thanks for your help.

Juan, I also have a media player (WD HD Live) connected to the TV via HDMI and I get very good quality rendering my movies in WMV format.
I’ve done several experiments and this format is one that gives me a better quality with smaller file size.
My camera is a Panasonic Lumix and register the images in AVCHD format mts. I do the rendering in (Save as) Windows Media Video V11
    Template – 5 Mbps 720-25p HD video
Custom – Mode – CBR Quality
    Format – Windows Media MPEG-4 Video V3
Image size – High definition (1280×720)
Pixel aspect ratio – 1,000 (square)
    Frame rate – 25,000 (PAL)
    Quality – 90%

Maybe you have to change the Frame rate to the sistem NTSC.

I hope this can helps you.

  • There are,at least, two softwares (Audicity and Sound Forge) that can eliminate some frequencies from a sound track but not all the music. They can eliminate, for example, wind sound or ambient noise.

Yes Mike, it was the Screen View button.
I was passing with the mouse over the button but clicked only on the small arrow that opened the window that shows “FX Bypassed / Clipboard – Select Left Half / Half Right / Select Select All” and never clicked on the circle inside the square.
Sorry if my english is not the best but I’m portuguese.
Thank you very much for your help.

I’m reading all your contributions and, who knows, maybe someday, when I know more about Vegas, I can help other people and participate more actively in your forum.
    Thank you.

    Mike, once again thank you.
Finally I got the problem solved. Now it seems so simple, but sometimes we insist on the same mistake over and over.
    Thank you, very, very much.

After inserting the photo in the timeline, you can move the edge of the photo thumbnail, to the right or left, to increase or decrease the time the photo displays.

Thanks Mike for your help. The problem is already partially solved but not wholly.
In Vegas 10 Pro I got the Split Screen View with these sections:

    FX Bypassed
    Clipboard
    ——————
    Select Left Half
    Select Right Half
    Select All

    – If I select “FX Bypassed” and “Select Left Half” I see a window divided into two: on the left half I see half of the normal image, and on the right I see the other half of the image with the effect applied.
    – If I select “FX Bypassed” and “Select Right Half” is the same but with the effect applied on the other half.
    – If I select “FX Bypassed” and “Select All” the window displays the entire image but without any effect.
    – If I select “Clipboard” and “Select Left Half” I see the right half of the image with the effect but the left half is black.
    – If I select “Clipboard” and “Select Right Half” is the same image but the effect is applied to the left side (the other half is black).
    – If I select “Clipboard” and “Select All” the screen view is completely black.

I can never see the intire image with the effect applied. However, I have seen tutorials where the effect is applied to the intire screen view but I don’t know if these are previous versions of Vegas. Does this only happens in version 10 Pro? It is very strange!
    Thanks for any help.
