    Hello,
I’m new to these forums. I was wondering if there is a way to render in HD in Sony Vegas to play my movies on my Western Digital media player or a DVD player?

I’ve edited a couple movies of my son that I would like to play back on my HD tv, but I can’t seem to get them to play on my tv. They play perfect on my computer.

The video I edited was shot using my Nikon D90. I don’t know if this makes a difference when it comes time to render.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Render to Sony AVC with one of the “Internet…” templates. The WD TV shouldn’t have any problem with these MP4 files.

Juan, I also have a media player (WD HD Live) connected to the TV via HDMI and I get very good quality rendering my movies in WMV format.
I’ve done several experiments and this format is one that gives me a better quality with smaller file size.
My camera is a Panasonic Lumix and register the images in AVCHD format mts. I do the rendering in (Save as) Windows Media Video V11
    Template – 5 Mbps 720-25p HD video
Custom – Mode – CBR Quality
    Format – Windows Media MPEG-4 Video V3
Image size – High definition (1280×720)
Pixel aspect ratio – 1,000 (square)
    Frame rate – 25,000 (PAL)
    Quality – 90%

Maybe you have to change the Frame rate to the sistem NTSC.

I hope this can helps you.
