Changing this does not help. For some reason black bars are being added to the sides of my footage. I can’t get rid of them. I captured in wide screen, then imported the wide screen project into a standard def project. but its still exporting a wide screen version. Even if i set the pixel ratio to .9.

Please don’t tell me i have to re-import and re-edit the entire video

Aharon Rabinowitz gives a great introductory tutorial here https://cowcast.creativecow.net/after_effects/episodes/Compression_Pt_1_POD.mp4
    I found it very useful

I have no problem creating the stroke. The problem is that i want the stroke to keep its color but remove the color from the actor.

In keylight if you simple use the screen matte and set the replace color to the color you want, set replace method to hard colour. You can then use screen Shrink/Grow to determine the size of the stroke. This just takes a few steps off of arron’s method.

How close are you to your total HD space. If your HD needs to be defragmented meaning you don’t have a large amount of sequential memory this could cause you to drop frames. Try defragmenting or capturing to a HD with more free space.

    Hope this helps
