I am doing a multi track video that right now has 8 tracks. After adding the eighth track the video got extremely choppy. When i preview the video separately it plays fine but when i play it from the main time line its all choppy. The one thing i noticed is that in the time line the footage that is given me problems has vidName.avi [V], What does this [V] mean and could that be the problem.

Perhaps you are simply trying to play too many videos simultaniously for your hard drive to handle? The data stream would then be too vast. Try disabling another video track, then see if you have smooth playback again.

What the [V] means, no idea, sorry.
