Thanks Flo. I guess it’s upgrade time!

Mistake, the footage was digitized with FCP and did not pass through Clip Wrap. My Media100 system is no longer capable of digitizing any flavor of synced HD footage, hence the use of FCP!
Also it seems the “different standards” report is being caused by missing footage in the time line. Now this is another problem to solve!

    Hi Dave.
How compatible is this version with my system as described below?
PPC G5 Dual 2.7 GHz, 4 GB Ram. ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card, Atto ExpressPCI UL4D (dual), Ciprico U320RAID3/2k.
I am currently just barely running on Media100 Suite version 1.6 (PPC) with the HDx (Optibase) cards.
    Regards.

    Hey,
Just tested a bin and timeline from version 8.2.3 with Media 100 SW (11.1) and it opens fine. I suspect it will also work for Media100 Suite. Remember, you cannot do the opposite!

    Hey,
If it means anything to you coming from me, your idea is great! I am not the person to tell you how to go about pursuing it but it would be a great show, especially on any of the myriad of sports channels in baseball loving countries around the world. Replicate your promo dvd, get your paperwork straight, and pitch (sic) wherever you can!
As said before, there are lots of us with ideas for TV shows, but not many of us make the right connections. As they say where I am from, “if you don’t try, you can’t succeed”.
    All the best,

    Hi Graham.
The Z1U has viefinder marks indicating the 4×3 setting even when shooting HDV. The media100 can digitize the HDV footage at HD settings, you do your edit in HD then output to 4×3 in several ways. Like others have responded above this entails either letter box, pillar box, or, as I have done, use the Media 100HD output settings for regular 4×3 output.
You can also digitize from the Z1U or compatible deck, HVR1500, set to downconvert to 4×3 using the crop mode and edit in Media100HD using the SD settings.
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for replying Mathew. That’s how I am doing it from several folders. I was wondering if maybe there was something like a codec or setting that would allow for fast import of HDV files.
