A trick I learnt is to create a zipped archive of anything Media 100 for transfer by FTP or cd. Apparently there are lots of little “sub files” that can go missing.

    Hi Jai.
I am running CS6 so that is why I would need two different sets of extensions.
I don’t use FCP so can’t comment on that setup.
    Cheers!

Just some additional info, the Matrox needs to load different drivers for Media100 and Premier Pro. This means two OS startup drives as the different drivers do not work together.

    Hi Michael,
Mariana Morely was a Media100 evangelist of years gone by. Like Flo, she was a wealth of Media100 knowledge.
    Cheers.

Yes, I did. If I remember, I think I did a new project and copied and pasted the clips. I might have deleted the offending clip first.
    Hope this helps…

Hi Noah. Did you find a solution? I am having same issues, also with footage digitized via firewire in FCP. Strange thing is when I bring an FCP cut via XML into Media100 of the exact same footage it looks fine!

    Hi.
I have found it easier to import the HD render of files rendered from effects being placed on them then dropping them into a sd 4×3 timeline and letterboxing that way. Of course certain transitions will give it away, eg: page turns, as the black part of the transition also moves. But this way adjustments can still be made instead of doing a full reference render of the HD program.
I have tried to discuss this before with no solution…
Flo, where can I email a timeline to you?
    Thanks.

    Thanks for the input.
Clips did not link to footage as the media files got appended with a digit on import into media100. Luckily the clips had time code!
