Hector, I was able to crab the window from the bottom now I can resize it anyway I want.

Sound is just as important if not more in my videos. I use envelopes on all my tracks.

I am still trying to figure out what Vegas 21 can do that my Vegas 18 can’t.

    Hello,

Below is an update of my problem with the display of the audio effects, envelope line and zoom button. I fixed the problem but another problem came up, I don’t understand why but someone on this forum can. I sent a copy of this to Magix.

    Hello,

After spending a lot of time I found out that if I uncheck the box in properties>Display> ( “use high DPI Scaling (where usable)” the screen appears normal and everything is readable including the audio effects, envelopes et. see screen shot #70

However when I apply an audio effect from the audio effects list, the OK button is hidden on top see screen shot #71. I can’t grape it to pull down, but if I grape the sides of the screen of the effect list and make it larger or small the OK button comes down and appears so the effects become usable and can be added to the chain, see screen shot #72.

I hope I explained the problem clearly for you to help.

    Thank you

I downloaded the trial version of 21, everything looks the same, about the same number of effects as Vegas 18. Maybe I am missing something.

I had a few crashes and some problems rendering but Magix just had an upgrade that fixed the problems.

The display of some audio effects is smaller, the envelope lines are smaller even the + and minus of the zoom right bottom corner is hard to see.

Attached you will find two screen shots the first show Vegas 21 display, the second is how things show in Vegas 18

    Thank you

    Thank you Francois,

I spent all morning with on a chat with Boris effects. They say their effects can only be installed on one computer, even if Vegas pro can be installed on two.

As for the audio effects missing, I am trying a new route: I just downloaded a trial version for Presonus studio 6. Maybe working the sound on an audio program will produce a better outcome.

Thank you Edward, it worked, made the file longer to slow the tempo!

One note I like to share, when I tried to use lastigue timestretch to use the pitch shift function at the same time, it lost the synch. However, when I used a different pitch shift effect at same time it functioned great!

Lastique timestretch has a check box to keep the body of the instrument function. The other pitch shift effect doesn’t, I changed other settings and used the EQ to get the result.

Thank you this will save me a lot of time and fix many files to my liking!

Thank you, I need to slow down the audio track for a slower tempo music, will this do that?

    I’ll try later thank you

    Than you John,

What I’ve been doing up to now is separate the video track from the audio, split it at many points and manually move it to more or less where it belongs.

It’s time consuming and never perfect but gives the singer the words in front of them.

There must be a better way!

    Thank you

Thank you Mike, I tried several chains. It’s salvageable on the close ups. I saved what I could, since it’s a music show I can make a CD out of it if I want.

This must happen a lot, I am surprised a company didn’t come up with a solution!

I will use this as a learning lesson.

I set the two camera myself, I tried the far camera on a closeup and from the knees up it looked sharp, the person operating the camera didn’t notice on the zoom out the audience looked sharp but me the subject on stage came out with a washed out look. next time I will not set up the main camera so far back!

    Thank you for your input

    Thank you Steve and Stephen.

It’s 1-1/2 hr. video using coloring and other effects saved some of it, some close-up are salvageable, some fixes may look interesting!

    Michael,

I am happy it works for you. Both my PCs are gaming desktop.

After a big time crash with Vegas 19 Trial version, I went back to my Vegas Pro 18, it works fine but I had to reinstall everything and install again. If I was running a business this would drive me crazy. Probably the video would be made with hardware.

I am a musician and record my shows, I went back to record with a digital recorder. The best thing I ever did, just set-up the recorder at home, on the job just push the record button and it records trouble free for 4 hours!

Is there a mechanical device that let you video record and edit for hours?
