As a last chance you can take a look at the autosave, by default it is:
d:\Users\your usaername\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\14.0\
If there’s something like “000013fc.autosave.veg”, that may be your lost project.
If not, I doubt there will be any help.
What really happened I don’t know, but I don’t think Vegas is the culprit.Best regards

March 27, 2017 at 5:01 am in reply to: SVP 13 render extremely slow after M$ patches (I think)I think I remember there was a case when an updated nvidia driver caused GPU to stop in Vegas.
So I can imagine the OP was using GPU, than that updated reached him, and pulled GPU off from Vegas.
I don’t remember the thread, but downgrading the nvidia driver seemed to solve the problem then.
I would check, if it’s possibble to switch GPU on at all? If not, maybe the issue is similar…Best regards

March 22, 2017 at 7:23 pm in reply to: How to convert ntsc dvd into pal dvd either with svp13Pro or a suggested paid software?Ok, here’s how I did.
My goal was to produce a DVD, which holds the same content but with localised (translated) menus. The requirement was also to add subtitles (not sure if you mean the same with captions?)So I extracted the main title with pgcdemux, this resulted in streams DVDA could use directly.
I also rendered a low resolution wmv with the same framerate, just to use in subtitleedit.
This is a freeware, but excellent tool. It’s.easy to merge or split lines, adjust timings properly…
It can save subtitles also in the format DVDA requires.
Made the subtitles, than just added a subtitle track in dvda, imported the subtitles.
Mainly done, just reauthored menu, and made subtitles on by default, so there’s no need to look for the “sub” button on the players remote.Best regards

For your qestion I don’t have an answer, but there may be a way to get it.
Do a render, just a short portion of a project, so the difference is only the nvidia settings. Everything else -tenplates, etc.- be the sane.
Then in a new project add both rendered file to the timeline to 2 tracks.
Have them in perfect sync.
Then change the above tracks compositing mode to subtract.
Set preview to best, and preview the project.
After that change the order of the tracks, but again, the above track set to sub.
If you get pure black preview both times, the 2 events are just the same, so nvidia settings don’t affect render output. Otherwise you will see the difference of the pictures I guess you’ll see something around the edges in the picture if not pure black…Best regards

The rest of the world just uses this software, which doesn’t work for you on the magical Win10. So you ditch V14 along with win10 and go back to V13 on Win7.
Why don’t you try V14 on win7?
It actually wotks quite well. Not perfect, but works well and is a quite useable tool.
I do my everyday work on this combo (win7/vegas14).
I agree with you on the low quality of support, but that does not equal to the quality of Vegas in general.
Again: despite your bad experience – for which I’d blame win10 now- vegas is not so bad, but a good useable tool.
Whether you buy an upgrade or not, it’s your decision, your money. It’s up to you 😉Best regards

You’re absolutely right. In the early morning I could see it only on my phone, and there I couldn’t notice the curved edges.
In this case deform is really a better choice ????Best regards
