Does your serial look like P3-[lots of numbers]? It is then for Vegas14.
Here’s the link to download:

(Not sure wy you didn’t get it, though…)Best regards

I would use 3D trackmotion.

I’m not sure youtube natively supports 21:9.
If you can play your rendered file fullscreen properly without bars above and below your video (can you?), then I’m afraid youtube is the 16:9 “display” that autoconverts after upload.
I don’t know a way to tell youtube to be something other than 16:9…Best regards

I do some multicam stuff every now-and-then.
For multicam events I always add color correction as media FX.
When cutting the multicam, I use the numbers.
For adding a crossfade instead of a straight cut, scrub back to the point and press “/” on the num pad. (Preferences/Editing tab: “cut to overlap conversion” sets the amount of time the crossfade will take)
Ctrl – “/” converts back to straight cut.
In the case you described, I would have just done the same, add the new tracks, create a new mutlicam track, line up, etc. Then just move the content from the second (newly created) multicam to the original multicam track and delete the new one. So I’d have only one multicam track. (Just because I don’t like to have more than one.)

2560*1080 seems to me 21:9, while 1920*1080 is 16:9.
You either have to distort or crop your source to fit in 16:9.
Or create custom 2560*1080 templates for project and rendering as well.Best regards

I assume, where you render to is not a FAT32 drive with a 4GB filesize limit…
When it seems stuck, you don’t see any activity? CPU, disk usage?
(Ram usage would another interesting point)Can you play now the timeline after 98% at all?
Can you render a sesction only (say 0..95%, and then try 95..100%)?
Did you try to render to other template/codec?Best regards

I did a quick test too.
Took a footage (28Mbps 50p AVC from my HM600), dropped to timeline, trimmed down to exactly 1 minute, otherwise completely untouched, and rendered as my usual FullHD 15Mbps 25p (Mainconcept) AVC youtube template.
Then to make it some more realistic, added some edit: did a simple color adjust (Color curves), duplicated the track, added gaussian blur to below track (Vegas gaussian blur 0,330 in both direction), resized the above track, added drop shadow (default values) and a thin white glow with zero blur, so that it forms a border. This is the “edited”.
First I rendered the original, then the edited project. Then switched off GPU in Vegas, and copied my render template, just set the render “using cpu only”. So I had all GPU support off.
Here are the resulting render times of that 1 minute :
GPU CPU only (no GPU at all)
original: 0:34 2:49
Edited: 0:42 9:11That clearly shows how much openCL helps… ☺

Hi,
I bought a Radeon 6970 for an even lower price (approx $30) last summer. This is something considered as “useless” for gamers, they tend to drop it, and sell for a very cheap price. Vegas 14 benefits a lot from this card, to my experience. I did not regret – get smooth fullHD preview, slightly faster than realtime AVC renders on most of my fullHD 25fps projects, using a not-so-fast CPU (i5-3570) …
For a simple HD (fullHD) workflow I can recommend it.
So if you are on a tight budget, I doubt you will get anything more powerful for the price than the 6970…Best regards

March 11, 2017 at 10:24 pm in reply to: Need advice on Sony Vegas 13 mixup – AVCHAD with iPhone video problemHi,
I would try to remove that iphone recorded media from the project.
The easiest is to hide it from Vegas (rename or move to another folder).
So that when you open the project, Vegas doesn’t find it, and you can opt to keep it offline (don’t search for it).Once you have the project open, go to “project media”, look for that file and remove it from project.

March 9, 2017 at 9:04 pm in reply to: Track Motion Keyframe added even when Sync cursor uncheckedHi,
If you have sync cursor off, main timeline cursor may be anywhere, while (keyframe) cursor stays at another position.
If you make a movement at this position (track motion, parent motion), even a fraction of a pixel, a keyframe is automatically created with the new values.
This is how Vegas 14 (and Vegas 10 I used before) behaves in this regard, and I really think this is the normal behavior.
What you describe:
[Mel McMurrin] “More often than not track motion creates a new keyframe at the new time line cursor position even though sync cursor is off.”
I never noticed such a behavior, and I often use trackmotion and pancrop keyframed as well.Best regards
