Hi,
try this first, and then tweak it:
Have your mono audio on 2 tracks (A,B).
Pan A to left 40%, B to right 40%.
Add Reverb effect to A, “wide open hall”, dry out 0dB, reverb out -inf, Early out -5,2dB, Early ref style (mode 8 (8ms pan left))
Add Reverb effect to B “Rich hall”, dry out 0dB, Reverb out -inf, Early out -6,1 dB, Early ref style (mode 9 (16ms pan right))
And listen. Never going to be real stereo, just a fake…Best regards

March 30, 2017 at 5:03 pm in reply to: GPU acceleration of video processing not detect my deviceCould depend on the driver too.
I use my 6970 with a driver dated to 2015.
Once Ati suggested a more recent driver and accepted it, just to see. (It’sa polite thing to ask, not just blindly autoupdate, I think anyway).
It installed other stuff as well, seemed gameing telated, and was told to have opencl 2.0 support, if I remember correctly.
The new driver installed smooth, and things went well overall, but my Vegas lost gpu…
I reverted back to the ancient driver.Best regards

Tha CPU is there to be utilized, and rendering is a hard work.
Near 100% Cpu is totally normal. I’d even worry if it would be way below 100, as that would mean a bottleneck somewhere in your system, which does not allow your Cpu to work at its full potential.Best regards

March 29, 2017 at 8:39 pm in reply to: Changing file extension on a file with DV codecYou need to change the container, I think it’s possible.
I used ffmpeg before to convert .mov to mp4 (actually just changed the container format, the vide stream left untouched).
I would try something like
ffmpeg -i dv.avi -acodec: copy -vcodec: copy output.mov
(Did not test)Best regards

Hi this is just my opinion and I may be even wrong, but I don’t think there’s any improvement in audio part of Vegas14.
I upgraded from Vegas 10, and Vegas14 behaves mostly just the same. My main benefit was the GPU acceleration with the upgrade, which may not worth anything to you…
Probably the only benefit could be that if Vegas14 supports a file format which Vegas12 does not, and you have to access the audio of such a file?
I honestly think if you grab the trial, and evaluate it you don’t loose anything.
If I were you, I would keep on working with the V12, and do some test projects in the spare time with V14 to see if it works any better.Best regards

Another question, why the project itself is interlaced?
That should not introduce AV sync issue, though…
120fps is overkill here, but alone that shouldn’t be a problem as well. I had footages from AEEE action cameras before with this framerate (because of the need of slow-mo), and there was no problem. Audio from that cam was in perfect sync with that framerate video ????
A choking in preview shouldn’t be a problem. Yes, the preview goes than with a lag, but the rendered video should be fine anyway…Best regards

Hi,
I used Vegas for more than 10 years now, and used media from cameras from different manufacturers in different formats. Never had an AV sync issue, so I thought your capture may be variable framerate, which is proven to be wrong in Vegas.
If it’s not, and is really constant, I still would blame the source media (your captured file).
The first finding on a look for obs AV sync:
https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/audio-delay.24644/Also you can take a look at Wayne’s post about using OBS for targeting Vegas:
https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/1012989
After reading you may find the culprit somewhere in your capture settings… 😉Best regards
