Sony Vegas Project File Not Working
So, I was editing a video when suddenly it wouldn’t let me save. It turned out my folder was deleted (Which BTW would be nice if you could tell me wth happened). I saved under a different name but my other project was gone. I managed to get the .Bak file back (Ironic) using an external product and when i changed it to .Veg It would open Sony Vegas only to fail and greet me with this error message:
2017-03-26.pngI tried looking for any other .Bak files in the Sony Vegas folder as pretty much every video on YT told me to, but i ended up just wasting my time. No other recoveries or autosaves other than what i rescued.
Is my project lost forever? Is there any way i could get it back?

As a last chance you can take a look at the autosave, by default it is:
d:\Users\your usaername\AppData\Local\VEGAS Pro\14.0\
If there’s something like “000013fc.autosave.veg”, that may be your lost project.
If not, I doubt there will be any help.
What really happened I don’t know, but I don’t think Vegas is the culprit.Best regards

I already checked as i mentioned in the thread, sad that my project is gone but that’s just life being unfair I guess…

Can you copy only the veg file to another computer with Vegas and open it? If you can get it to open on another computer you can export the edl and then reimport the edl into a new veg on your main computer.
