There are four folders inside of the MXF Folder labeled 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively.

There is also an OMFI Media Folder. I have been doing some reading and have noticed that OMFI media might be a problem with Interplay. Still, Avid is not seeing everything in my MXF folders and it was having issues with indexing the drive.

    Any thoughts?

It’s a real time moving matte so I didn’t apply an alpha. It already had one.

    Hi Randy,

Thanks for the help but when I adjust the foreground and such in the effect editor it affects my video on V1 as well. My problem is that I can’t seem to keep the title and lower-third matte separate from the video. Whatever transition I do on V2 and V3 affects V1 as well, which I don’t want.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Lori

    Hi Ed,

So my V1 is my video. V2 is a lower third matte key. V3 is a title that I made. Nothing is nested right now. No matter what transition I use it affects the video on V1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Lori

I tried that and still the same thing. It seems that any transition I do affects the bottom layer. Any other suggestions?

Thanks Matthew. I have rebuilt the databases a couple of times but I could try it again. Hopefully I will figure something out soon- this is very frustrating. Nevertheless, I really appreciate your help.

    Thanks,
    Lori

So what do you suggest as my options- get a new card? There are many graphics that I will be working with (and these graphics have been used on other MCs with no problem). What are my options?

I seem to get it only when I am dealing with this particular shows graphic elements…it doesn’t matter what project I am in, if I need the graphics, I get the error.

I thought it might be bad media (since the media has been moved from another system) so I tried to reimport the original files in order to re-build the show’s templates. Still, I get the same error trying to import the original files from the source disk.

    My graphics card info is:
    NVIDIA Quadro 980 XGL
    DAC Type: Integrated RAMDAC
    Approx. Total Memory: 128.0 MB

    Main Driver info:
    nv4_disp.dll
    Version: 6.14.0010.8426

As far as storage, I am not sure what you mean. If you mean all of my media it is going to an internal hard drive. There is also an external firewire drive that I back up to.

Please let me know if you need anymore info. I REALLY appreciate any help you can give me.

    Thanks,
    Lori

My company actually just stripped my computer and upgraded my system to Media Composer 4.0.2 but I am still getting the error- now just with a different line #.

I am running on Windows XP and my Quicktime is version 7.6.2- but it’s not Quicktime Pro, just player. Could this be the problem?

    Thanks,
    Lori
