I don’t use the timeline index much but I must be missing something because I don’t see any markers in there. I’m confident there is only one marker at each point because I deleted them and put one back.

The problem persists even when jumping from marker to marker and back again. Even if I haven’t touched the mouse or played any video, it still takes at least 3-4 keystrokes to make it jump. This only happens when I’m already on a marker. No background tasks are running.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue. I’m guessing its a conflict from having the old compressor also installed.

If you turn off color for the clip does it make any changes? If you view it from the event browser is it also dark, or does it look right there?

It shouldn’t, depends on who made the installer. If you’re manually installing, you shouldn’t need an installer, you can just copy over the app. If you want to be sure, rename or move any Final Cut Events and Final Cut Projects on your hard drives, and make a zip of your Motion Templates folder in your movies folder so that you can restore just in case.

Drop your 5D footage in first to create a 23.97 sequence. I think you’ll fine when you add the 29.97 footage in it will look fine.

I’m guessing FCPX upped the mpeg2 bit rate with the new export dialogue. Do you just use a preset, or did you amke your own export setting?

I get these from time to time. It seems to happen mostly, but not always, when I’m editing h.264 without transcoding. Trashing the render files in the finder and re-rendering has fixed it consistently for me.

Ok scratch the double-clicking compound clips, apparently only CC’s created in earlier versions won’t open as expected.
