Yes, just export it from photoshop or wherever as a PNG with opacity preserved and drop it on top of your video.

To answer your second question, right clicking the multicam clip in the event browser and selecting open in timeline will give you each of your video tracks which you can then change properties of (filters, zoom, etc) which will carry through.

I work with some panasonic cameras, so not the DSLR h.264 codec, but we have found 150% zoom on 1080p footage will still match when working in a 720p project.

You can just share the event file and the project file. As long as everyone has the original media replacing the old version of those files with a new version everything will reconnect. A few issues can pop up but this works pretty well.

You can reconnect by right clicking the event and searching for the original files. But I would really try to figure out why it’s crashing on import. Does it happen every time? Is only a certain type of media? Are you importing through the import dialogue or dragging files in from the finder?

I edit on a macbook pro 13″ so always struggling with performance. 1 mega event is way better than lots of small events.

Select a jpg that’s giving you problems, and go to the inspector pane (command-4)
Make sure you’r eon the video tab of the inspector tab, and scroll down to find the transform property.
To the left of the word Transform there is a blue button, to the right there is an arrow which resets it to the default. Reset it.
Pick the property you want to adjust, still in the inspector pane. Drop your keyframes there, and make your moves there. See if that clears itup.

I believe this is a bug that’s been around since 10.0.0. It’s maddening. If you use the arrow to reset the transform properties, then make all of your adjustments in the inspector pane will it work as intended? I haven’t had this issue in awhile so can’t remember how to recreate it.
Also, is this a project and event created in 10.0.7 or was it upgraded from a previous version?

Have you done any retiming? I’ve had this happen and my guess was the optical flow analysis files corrupted, trashing them and the render files sped things up again.

The way we work is everyone has their own events and projects folder on san, so there’s no chance of 2 people opening the same event or project at the same time.
If 2 people wanted to work off of the same media, the way I would do that as create events that reference the media in a shared storage, so that each user has unique events but you only need one copy of the media. Would that work in your situation?
