If you have a project of the same name, delete or move it out of you Final Cut Projects folder in the finder and see if that helps.

stacked generator shouldn’t be a problem.

quicktime error 2025 means “staleeditstate” whatever that means.

Have you tried deleting all your render and transcoded files?

    1) Select the clip in FCPX and bring up the inspector (command-4). Click on the audio tab. Under channel configuration, make sure an audio channel is selected.

    2) If that doesn’t reveal the problem, verify the clip is good and the codec isn’t something unusual. Do this by right clicking the clip and selecting reveal in finder. Open the file in quicktime. Play it back and make sure there’s sound. If there is sound, go to the menu and choose Window–>View inspector. What does it say under format?

  • Can you recreate the crash and post the messages that pop up right around the crash? Or look for a time that you know the crash happened and post them? There’s usually a clue, that openGL one definitely seems suspicious.

  • What does your system log in the console say? If it’s a bad hard drive you should be getting disk i/o errors.

Just curious, are you watching the video in final cut at 100%? Scaling up or down can hide some artifacting.
