Oops, I forgot to add that I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5/XP.

I’m looking for a professional exterior monitor for use with a Standard Definition (SD) camcorder not an HD one.

This method solves about 90% of the problem. The image still has two thin black lines, one at the top and one at the bottom. Recall that I resized the image in Photoshop to 4X3. Why, then, does it not fill the frame in 1.5?

Slight correction since I posted the previous message a few minutes ago I discovered how to reset the aspect ratio to 4 X 3. After I did this and saved it I again imported the new constrained 4 X 3 image into 1.5 Premiere STILL crops the image severely. Constraining the image in Photoshop does nothing to fix the problem.

I don’t know how to contrain the crop tool to 4 X 3 in Photoshop, though I know how to invoke the crop tool. Nor do I know what PAR 1.0 refers to or how to adjust the image to 640 X 480.

    I appreciate your help.

I don’t know anything about interpolating.

None of the 1.5 documentation I’ve read says this software crops JPEG images when they’re being imported. Why does 1.5 crop images? The documentation leads one to believe images are imported at full frame dimensions.

Is this information confirmed anywhere that you know of on Adobe’s web site? About a year ago I had major technical problems and has to swap out HDDs more than once in short period of time. My recollection is that each time I had to phone Adobe to get permission to register each new installation. I found the process patronizing.

The last time this happened was when I called Friday morning and reached someone who said he would take a message and have tech support call me back. I would charitably call this customer no service.

I checked the DVXUser web site for batteries for the 100B and the only one I could find was a no-name battery, i.e. no manufacturer was identified.

One reason I posted this question was because I was shocked to discover that the 5400 battery only ran for about 2 hours with both viewfinder and LCD on.

I haven’t managed to turn off the viewfinder while the LCD is on and don’t know how.

I am not familiar with the DVXuser batteries. What are they? What do they cost? How long do they run?

Panasonic told me the 5400 is the largest they make for this camera.
