When my C: drive recently started making unusual noises I cloned it to an external USB drive in case my C: drive dies.

I have Premiere Pro 1.5 installed on the C: drive.

In the past when I’ve had to swap out C: drives for repair reasons and replaced them with a cloned drive Premiere would not open.

The last time I keyed in a registration code when this happened I neglected to write that code down.

Is the registration code found on the opening screen in Premiere? If not, is there anywhere in the program I can find it?

It is printed on your original CD case.

    Best wish,

Is this information confirmed anywhere that you know of on Adobe’s web site? About a year ago I had major technical problems and has to swap out HDDs more than once in short period of time. My recollection is that each time I had to phone Adobe to get permission to register each new installation. I found the process patronizing.

You are confusing the software Key (on the CD like Perry mentioned) with the software activation key which has to be generated from Adobe either over the phone or internet when ever the software’s enviroment is changed even if just cloning a drive.
