I am also experiencing the same problem. In both AE and in PPro. Quicktime doesn’t honor the frame rate, and I’m using a targa sequence, so there is no “native” frame rate for a sequence of images. Basically quicktime is about a frame off.
Did you have any luck solving your problem?

February 11, 2007 at 2:41 pm in reply to: Illustrator paths to motion paths in After Effects 7.0This has happened to me quite frequently. You aren’t alone in the problem. AE is very specific about what you must have in the clipboard, and what you must have selected in the timeline. Make sure you have AICB (or something to that effect) checked on the Illustrator Preferences, under the clipboard category. Other than that, it’s all about trial and error because in 6.5 it was too simple.

Yes, it certainly was better, and have decided to reinstall the older version since I can not preview correctly on 2.0 Previewing is one of the most important aspects to authoring a DVD. I hope they come out with a patch soon, or more tech support.

I’m having the same problem on a faster system that one you descibe.
Dual Pentium Xeon 2.8Ghz
3GB of RAM
NVIDIA Quardro XGL 128MBNot sure what the deal is with Encore 2.0 I play it through my PowerDVD software player, and it looks great!
Any progress in the troubleshooting?

It’s a huge bug when it takes six to seven hours to figure it out. Almost a whole workday gone. They don’t even have the workaround on their support site as part of a “known” issues page.

Okay, after digging through this board for some answers and tinkering with Encore, I think I have the best work around. David Garret suggested to place a silent audio file in the menu that lasts as long as the animated button should be. That, in fact, does work. However, I didn’t think that a user should have to place a silent audio file in the menu as a workaround. So after I rendered the motion menu WITH the audio file, I then set the “audio” parameter in the menu to “Nothing”, and then the duration of the animated button went longer than 15 seconds. This is a HUGE bug in Encore and the programmers need to be made aware of this ASAP.
Thanks for reading! Now I gotta get some sleep after double clicking a million times.

There maybe a mask appearing at a certain point in layer 1. Check out your alpha channel for layer 1. It could very well be a software / hardware rendering issue. Try taking OpenGL off. It’s a little button on the comp window. Hope that helps!
