I am a user who happens to like this product enough to have bought it. I am hired by Matrox on a freelance basis to demonstrate this product that I use to do my normal post work. My owning it and demonstrating it does not make it any less of a viable solution. I get no commission from sales and am paid by the day for the demo work I do. If you’d like more background info on me feel free to check out my bio on the Discrete Edit COW forum. I have been a member here for quite a while.

just use the left arrow key to step back one frame and create the effect, results will be as expected, if you like you can drag that keyframe to the end but results should be the same either way.

Make sure the correct track is active, the T key SHOULD be mapped to the Matchframe function, it is when using the Default keyboard, it may be a different key in your settings. Matchframe function loads the source from the bin as opposed to the other methods which loads the actual clip from the timeline. I use this feature to Slip clips from the timeline using the Source Viewer. Hope this explains it.

What about setting the Project preference to Scale to Project Settings for your imported footage, it should look proper when used in a sequence.

You can also use the T key to matchframe the clip from the timeline to the Source Viewer and then remark the In/Out points and re-edit the new clip into the timeline.

I guess it’s all in the workflow approach, for me it is the same as in Edit, when I wanted to use a clip from the timeline as a source in the source viewer I always used the Matchframe keyboard command to load the clip to the source viewer so the workflow for me is the same.

In version 1.5, Axio will need to render HDV out to Uncompressed AVI before you can print to tape, further developments as they occur . . .

There really aren’t any extra steps.

Use the T key instead of Dragging

You DON’T have to remove the existing In/Out, just mark new In/Out

Press , or . to edit to timeline

The fact that you can drag a clip to the SV from the timeline allows for very powerful and easy Slipping of a shot without needing to use Slip Mode.

    My 2 cents

One particular workflow no-no that drives me bonkers is the inability to pull a clip from the timeline to the source viewer and reuse it – you need to relocate it in the bins,

Marisu, I just did exactly this and it seems to work fine for me. I went to the timeline, hit T for Matchframe, hit G to remove In/Out points, remarked this clip in the Source Viewer and created another edit on the timeline with different In/Out points. Is this what you were trying to do?
